ICLED Business School: Anthony Campus Students Graduate from Entrepreneurship Programme

As the school’s Centre of Excellence for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, our Anthony campus hosted the maiden edition of the International Centre for Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development (ICLED) graduation for secondary school students on the 19th of January. The graduating class comprised thirty-seven Year 11 students from our Anthony campus who completed their course programme in leadership and entrepreneurship.

The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests including our Executive Director, Mrs Lai Koiki; the Provost of ICLED Business School, Mrs Olajumoke Familoni; Head of School, Anthony Campus, Mrs Magdalene Okrikri; PTA Chairperson, Anthony Campus, Mr. Babajide Familusi; as well as parents and well-wishers. The Honourable Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education in Lagos State was also represented by Mr. Bolaji Olaleye.

In her address, the Provost of ICLED Business School congratulated the graduates for their achievements and expressed gratitude to our school and parents for their support. She emphasized the importance of entrepreneurial and leadership skills in today’s world, highlighting the mismatch between employer and employee needs as a significant factor contributing to high unemployment rates. She urged the students to keep learning and to persevere and remain resilient in their entrepreneurial endeavours, despite challenges.

Prior to their graduation, some of the students had showcased their impressive business models at ICLED’s inauguration in September 2023. The recording of their business idea pitching was played at the graduation ceremony to the delight of everyone.

Expressing her joy and pride in the ICLED graduates, our Executive Director, Mrs Lai Koiki acknowledged their hard work, determination and focus in completing the programme. She noted that entrepreneurship is one of our core values and reaffirmed our commitment to the holistic, well-rounded education of children. To end, she encouraged the graduates to persistently pursue their entrepreneurial dreams until realisation.
