Greensprings School, Anthony Campus, hosted an exhilarating Basketball Showcase on Tuesday, 11th February 2025, to motivate students and foster a deeper love for sport.
The event was a resounding success as students formed various teams to compete in friendly matches, displaying remarkable skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Their enthusiasm and dedication contributed to the vibrant atmosphere of the showcase.
A major highlight of the event was the presence of Mr Oluwafemi Adefeso, the Special Guest of Honour. A distinguished sports business leader, Oluwafemi successfully transitioned from a high-performing student and semi-professional athlete to an astute sports broadcaster, media communications consultant, and sports operations & marketing manager.
Oluwafemi holds a historic record as the first African journalist to interview NBA’s all-time leading scorer, LeBron James, and the first African reporter to provide live coverage from multiple iconic NBA venues in a single season.
His inspiring journey and presence served as a great motivation for students, encouraging them to strive for excellence in sports and beyond.
