Introducing Greensprings Learning Room (GLR)

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We thank you for supporting our online engagement efforts as this is a learning curve for all of us. The attendance on the VLE platform and live lessons have been very high, and we know that this is because you sacrificed to ensure that your child(ren) are able to participate. Your continued support is appreciated.

VLEIn a recent press release, the Lagos State Commissioner of Education has announced that Term 3 resumption is postponed while also recognizing that students need to be engaged despite the challenges of the current times. In line with this new directive, please note that the current online program will end on Thursday 30th of April.

Research indicates that students who stay engaged in a structured learning process during school breaks tend to retain prior knowledge, exhibit more pride in their schoolwork and maintain a healthy focus and respect for learning. Against this backdrop and in line with our child-centred approach, we would like to offer a revised version of this programme. This will afford our students meaningful learning and social engagement opportunities until Term 3 resumption.

This programme will be known as The Greensprings Learning Room (GLR) and is an optional service. It will continue to support the need for structure and allow students to continue to thrive in these uncertain times. The daily timetable will be a little less rigorous but will include live lessons in the core subjects delivered in a safe and supportive environment with dedicated teachers.

The Greensprings Learning Room (GLR) will also include leadership and personal development curriculum for students 8 years and above in addition to other enrichment activities. Please note that, in addition, all Greensprings Students will have access to numeracy and literacy activities updated weekly on the VLE platform.

Yours sincerely,
