The year 2019 took off on an incredible note for Greensprings School, as our students became the first runner-up at the Conrad Challenge winning scholarships worth $60,000 (Sixty thousand dollars, approximately N21 million) for 4 years per finalist at Clarkson University, New York, United States of America.
The Conrad Challenge was formed in 2008 to honour the legacy of Charles “Pete” Conrad Jr. It is an annual competition that brings together a dynamic community of innovators and entrepreneurs driving a collaborative movement to develop extraordinary and viable solutions to benefit our world in one of five areas: Aerospace & Aviation, Cyber-Technology & Security, Energy & Environment, Health & Nutrition, and Smoke-Free World.
We presented three teams for this challenge. Two of our teams including Team Five Ions and Team Wirlpool made it to the final round of the challenge.

It gives us great pleasure to announce to you that at the grand finale of the challenge held on Saturday, 19 January at the prestigious Lekki Peninsula Hotel, our own Team Five Ions emerged the First Runner Up out of 13 teams from schools all over Nigeria!
The good news is that all the finalists were awarded scholarships worth $60,000 (Sixty thousand dollars. approximately N21 million) for 4 years per finalist at Clarkson University, New York, United States of America.
