Our Ikoyi Campus hosts its maiden edition of the Afterschool showcase, an event that highlights the school’s diverse extra-curricular (afterschool) activities for the 2023/2024 academic year.
This inaugural edition featured an array of performances and exhibitions, marking a significant milestone in the school’s commitment to nurturing talent and creativity.
The showcase commenced with a warm welcome address from Mrs. Oluranti Bankole, Head of School, Ikoyi Campus. It kicked off with a ballet performance, followed by an orchestral piece by the “Play An Instrument” group.
The “STEAM” team captivated the audience with innovative creations made from everyday materials, while the “LAMDA” group delivered poignant monologues that captivated the audience. The “Karate” team then demonstrated impressive skills, and members of the “Book Club” shared their favourite literary discoveries.
The excitement continued with demonstrations from the “Fencing” and “Gymnastics” teams, showcasing their expertise. The “Coding and Robotics” team impressed attendees with animations created using tools like Scratch, and the “CREd” Team concluded the performances with a compelling drama presentation.
The grand finale featured a thrilling friendly basketball match, showcasing the culmination of the team’s year-long dedication and training.
The Afterschool Showcase sets the stage for future events at our Ikoyi campus, solidifying Greensprings School’s commitment to providing a holistic education that extends beyond the classroom.
